The highest ethical and responsible business values have always constituted the cornerstone of how the company operates. In 2020, FOPE activated its own Code of Ethics, a document that defines the set of values that the company recognises and promotes among all its stakeholders, from employees to suppliers. In recent years, with the aim of transparency, FOPE has committed itself to a process of reporting on initiatives relating to social responsibility, and since 2022 it has been drawing up an annual Sustainability Report produced in line with GRI Sustainability Standards.
FOPE is committed to monitoring its CO₂ emissions through the periodic update of its carbon footprint, based on a mapping of its main emission sources. The calculation is independently verified by a third party, with the aim of ensuring greater transparency and reliability in the measurement of its emissions. The Vicenza headquarters, where all FOPE jewellery is produced, is powered by electricity from renewable sources certified through Guarantees of Origin, supplemented by energy generated by the photovoltaic system installed at the facility. Each year, FOPE also chooses to offset a significant share of its greenhouse gas emissions by supporting a specific offsetting project, further strengthening its commitment to managing and reducing its environmental impact.
Since 2014, FOPE has been a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), the international non-profit body that sets ethical standards for the entire jewellery supply chain.
All the gold purchased is certified by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). The major diamond suppliers, the largest of which is itself an RJC-certified member, ensure that the gems are sourced from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflicts in the countries of origin, and that they are processed in line with the most authoritative international guidelines.
