Just when she wasn’t looking for anyone, let alone a relationship, he knew how to catch her eye. They went out one evening, and they talked, ate, drank and laughed (a lot). Then Alessandro put his arms around her and she breathed in the sweet smell of home. That’s how it happened, and how it had stayed.
Anna loved moving around her kitchen, bathed in light and the music coming from the room next door. Though she didn’t play herself, she’d always loved wooden instruments: the warmth of a cello, the curve of a piano… Now they had a wonderful dark piano at home, and Alessandro could tease any melody out of it.
