#FOPEfaces, jewellery on the move

An optimised production process and stock management are key topics for a jewellery brand like FOPE. The internal coordination requires agile and frequently updated procedures, just like R&D is crucial for the technological aspects and Design is for shape and usability. Furthermore in less than twenty years FOPE has introduced two significant changes: the distribution model (including the newly established American and British subsidiaries) and the size of its market which has shifted from national to global.

Today the #FOPEfaces series welcomes Elena Mazzaggio, Logistics Manager, who began her collaboration with FOPE in 1998. Her job includes stock-keeping, jewellery shipping and the supervision of the after-sale service dedicated to all stockists worldwide. During her time at FOPE, Elena has witnessed the introduction of new IT Systems, the continuous update of customs laws and regulations and, it goes without saying, to the launch of so many new collections. Her daily activities are essential for each piece of jewellery to reach FOPE’s international network of retailers in good time and according to the strictest quality- and traceability-related standards. We are meeting her near the safe/rotating carousel and the small goods lift which the downstairs factory uses to send her the ready-to-ship jewellery directly. Here she also looks after sample collections for trade shows and agents, the carnets and the pieces available for photoshoots.

The next appointment is scheduled for 1st March: we will meet Rosanna Parise and ask her about her role as Finance and Administration Manager.
