Photography, jewellery and Vicenza Stones

The #FOPElab project grows further adding a new collaboration to the Around FOPE section. The new guest artist is Elisa Ceretta, an Italian photographer. Protagonist of her shoot, along with a selection of new jewellery pieces by FOPE, is the Vicenza Stone from Grassi Pietra’s quarries, a material used in most Palladian buildings in Vicenza.

FOPE is renewing its interest in art by promoting a collaboration with Elisa Ceretta, a photographer born in Padua (not far from Vicenza) in 1991.
After her degree in industrial design at Iuav in Venice, Elisa started her professional life in London and then moved back to Italy in 2014 in order to delve into the still life and architecture photography. In the last few years she has released personal works that investigate the oneiric relationship between men and architecture - such as her recent “Rêverie”.  Elisa’s works have been published in several publications such as Italian “Divisare”, “FA – Fotografia dell’architettura”, “Frizzi Frizzi”. 

The new chapter of #FOPELab also introduces a partnership with a local long-standing company, Grassi Pietre. A family business like FOPE, they too have achieved an international reputation thanks to the key value pursued: high quality, great care for the raw material (and respect of the Berici Hills environment ,where the quarries are), industrial innovation and a strong link to the artistic and manufacturing heritage. Through Elisa Ceretta’s lens, FOPE is revealing an original dialogue between matter and handicraft by juxtaposing the raw Vicenza Stone and a refined piece of jewellery, hence underlining the connection between two companies that share the same background and provide their unique interpretations of beauty itself.
