For years FOPE has been pursuing an ambitious goal: exploring different aspects of the world and beauty through collaboration with internationally famous Italian artists.
And so in 2007 we launched the ARTE2 project, symbolizing the rapport between the brand’s fine jewellery design and contemporary art.
The works of sculptors Franca Ghitti and Bruno Chersicla and of architect and designer Gaetano Pesce became the features of ad campaigns in which jewels are shown as genuine works of art.
The shots in the ads immortalize these artists’ works, serving as backdrops for FOPE’s inimitable creations in a harmonious juxtaposition of elegant jewels and simple sculptural materials. Strong, stunning images in which the jewellery's beauty is enhanced by its combination with powerful works of art.
The new chapter of Arte2 adds a further piece to the prized mosaic that for years has been uniting FOPE to the world of art and collector’s items. An impetus to explore the various forms of beauty as viewed by major Italian artists working in different mediums and using languages that are extremely personal but always based on creativity that’s an excellent pairing with the ever-innovative spirit of FOPE jewellery.
Now, in 2011, the rapport between art and fine jewellery finds great expression in a series of extremely “verist” stills by Franco Pagetti, photographer for Time and American Vogue.
The model returns, very beautiful and never artificial. The modelled item returns but far from clichéd because these are jewels of artistic design and the photographer is exceptional.
